With the successful issuance of the official ATEX certificate, Variosystems Suzhou has reached an important milestone in its operational excellence and product safety compliance for applications in potentially explosive atmospheres. Based on Directive 2014/34/EU, it ensures that products are designed and manufactured to operate safely in hazardous environments, protecting both personnel and assets.
The ATEX certification of Variosystems Suzhou is the result of a systematic enhancement of processes, responsibilities and controls across the entire production chain:
- Responsibility & training: ATEX-authorized personnel and mandatory training establish clear responsibility and certified expertise.
- Process control: NPI, project management and EX labeling drive consistent end-to-end ATEX compliance.
- Sourcing & inspection: Controlled sourcing and dedicated inspections safeguard compliant and traceable Ex components.
- Production standards: ATEX-compliant manufacturing with 100% coating verification delivers high product safety.
- Digital traceability: SAP and FactoryLogix provide traceability of all Ex-relevant components.
Global footprint, unified standards
With Suzhou now ATEX certified, Variosystems operates its second production site with ATEX capabilities, following Mendrisio in Switzerland. The certification underlines our commitment to harmonizing standards across our global footprint and building a scalable, compliant, and efficient production system.
