Factory Buyer (m/f/d)

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated candidate to join our Factory Procurement team focusing on raw material procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, expediting, ensuring security of supply and inventory control of the assigned components and be part of a strong dynamic team, reporting to the Factory procurement Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Operational Procurement of assigned components/commodities, consolidating actual demands and placing purchase orders assuring on-time availability and optimal inventory
• Ensuring security of supply with order follow-ups and updating order confirmations.
• Handling expedite requests to align with customer order changes
• Continuous Improvement of Supply Chain via TCO and inventory optimization, auto replenishment suggestions etc.
• Master Data Maintenance in SAP

Qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Bachelor’s degree, Advanced Diploma or an equivalent professional qualification in Supply Chain Management / Procurement from a recognized professional institute
• Minimum 2-3 years working experience in the relevant field.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
• Self-motivated team player with strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation skills and integrity.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, follow through commitments and meet deadlines.
• Experience in MS Outlook, Excel and Word. ERP knowledge (preferably with SAP) will be an added advantage.
